Ohio State Adds Five Signees

Buckeyes ink one pitcher, three infielders and one ourfielder
Ohio State head coach Kirin Kumar has announced the addition of five student-athletes who will continue their athletic and academic careers as members of the Ohio State softball program.
The five newest Buckeyes are: pitcher Jenna Molk, infielder Parker Willoughby, catcher/outfielder Grace Cary, infielder Kailey Coleman and outfielder Hayden Downer.
Jenna Molk // Pitcher // Dover, Ohio/Dover High School
- Is one of the top-ranked players in the state of Ohio according to On3 and Softball America.
- Was a two-sport athlete at Dover who played both softball and volleyball.
- As a junior, she was first team All-Ohio and the Eastern District Playter of the Year to help her team win the Division III state championship.
- Struck out 170 batters in 84 innings pitched.
- Was also a force at the plate where she had a .696 on-base percentage and an OPS of 2.067.
- Of her 32 hits on the season, 16 were home runs.
- In the state championship game vs. Holland Springfield, she went 3-for-3 with two home runs and four RBI.
- Combined on a perfect game in the circle in Dover's 1-0 sectional-round win over Tri-Valley.
Parker Willoughby // Infield // Morgantown, Ky./South Warren High School
- Last spring during her junior season, Willoughby played in 38 games with a .405 batting average, 17 extra-base hits, 24 RBI and 34 runs scored.
- Helped her team with the Region 4 state championship.
- In the regional final, Willoughby nearly hit for the cycle with a single, double and triple in a 2-0 victory over Warren East.
- As a sophomore at Butler County High School, Willoughby hit .505 with 51 hits, 20 RBI, 14 doubles, one triple, one home run and 47 runs scored in 30 games.
- Collected 45 hits while batting .464 during her freshman season in 2023. Added 20 RBI, 12 doubles and two triples.
Grace Cary // Catcher/Outfield // Traverse City, Mich./Traverse City Central High School
- Named all-state honors at catcher following her junior season; is the first player in program history to earn that honor.
- Helped Traverse City Central win 25 games last spring as a district championship.
- All-Region and all-district honoree.
- Was also named the team's Most Outstanding Offensive Player.
- Also plays volleyball and basketball.
Kailey Coleman // Infield // Lee's Summit, Mo./Lee's Summit West High School
- Is among the top-ranked players in the state of Missouri by On3 and Softball America.
- Named to the PGF All-American National Watch List.
- Helped her team win 20 or more games in each of her four high school seasons.
Hayden Downer // Outfield // Mukilteo, Wash./Seattle Prep
- Named the 2025 Metro League Player of the Year and an all-state selection during her junior season for Seattle Prep
- Hit two home runs and reached base in each of her five plate appearances in an opening-round game of the state tournament last season.
- Had a national-best 64 game hitting streak that spanned three seasons and ended last May.
- Entering her senior season, her career batting average is over .600 with more than 100 hits, 79 RBI, 53 extra base hits and 102 runs scored.
