Ohio State Hosts Kent State for Our Honor Defend Military Appreciation Night

The Buckeyes and Golden Flashes face off on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. on B1G+.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The RV/25 Ohio State women's basketball team (2-1) hosts Kent State (3-2) on Wednesday for Our Honor Defend Military Appreciation Night. Tip-off on B1G+ is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Parking for all home women's basketball games is free in the Gray and Buckeye lots. All Ohio State students receive free admission with their BuckID.
Join the Ohio State women's basketball team as it debuts the Script Buckeyes court. The Buckeyes will be partnering with VetTix for this game and also honoring one veteran and their guests with a complimentary suite. More information on VetTix and the nomination link for the suite experience can be found on the promotions page. There will also be a visor drop during the game and a youth halftime scrimmage.

- The Buckeyes fell by a 100-68 margin on the road to the defending national champions and current No. 1 UConn Huskies.
- Jaloni Cambridge led four Buckeyes in double figures with 17 points, while Kylee Kitts had her first collegiate 10-rebound game. T'yana Todd recorded her first double-figure game as a Buckeye (12). Cambridge scored the 500th point of her collegiate career.
- This season, Cambridge had led the Buckeyes' scoring offense in all three games and is averaging 19.3 points per game. Kylee Kitts leads the Buckeyes on the boards with 7.7 rpg.
- Kent State owns a 3-2 record to start the season. The Golden Flashes own wins over Walsh (79-55), Xavier (68-60) and Niagara (92-45) and have lost to James Madison (48-80) and West Virginia (47-88).
- Through the first five games of the season, Mya Babbitt (13.8) and Corynee Hauser (11.0) are both averaging double figures. Riley Rismiller leads the team with 8.0 rebounds per game.
- The Golden Flashes were the preseason pick to win the Mid American Conference this season. Janae Tyler and Babbitt were selected to the Preseason All-MAC Team.
- Ohio State leads 12-3 in the all-time series against Kent State - a series that dates back to 1966 and features only two meetings this century.
- The Buckeyes own wins in all three meetings known to have taken place in Columbus and have won the past 12 meetings overall.
- Ohio State has faced Kent State twice previously during Kevin McGuff's tenure - winning 75-65 on Nov. 21, 2020 in Kent and 103-47 on Dec. 2, 2020 in Columbus.
