- The Buckeyes and Wyoming will be meeting for the first time when the teams clash at the National Duals Invitational. The winner of the match will face either Minnesota or Virginia Tech in the second round of the event Saturday in Tulsa. - At the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga to start the dual season, Ohio State earned nine total wins with seven coming with bonus points. The Buckeyes won 42-4 with six wins by technical fall with one pin by redshirt freshman Landon Desselle at 157.
- Jesse Mendez, Ohio State's three-time All-American and two-time defending national champion at 141, opened his season at the 2025 NWCA All-Star Championships against No. 6 Anthony Echemendia of Iowa State. Mendez prevailed in the highly-anticipated match, 7-3.Â
- The Buckeyes enter the 2025-26 campaign with 12 NCAA qualifiers on the roster. That group has made 22 combined NCAA championship appearances.
- Ohio State returns to Columbus for its home opener Nov. 20 when Kent State travels to Columbus for a 7 p.m. match on B1G+.Â
