Buckeyes Earn At-Large Bid, Play at Georgia in NCAA Opening Round

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State has earned an at-large selection for the 2025 NCAA Tournament and will travel to Georgia for an opening round matchup on Friday, Nov. 16, in Athens.
This will be the Buckeyes’ 19th NCAA Tournament appearance and 15th in the last 17 seasons. All 19 appearances have come under the direction of 29th-year head coach Lori Walker-Hock. The Buckeyes have a record of 16-17-2 in the NCAA Tournament.
Last year, the Buckeyes won a pair of matches to reach the round of 16 before falling to eventual runner-up Wake Forest in Winston-Salem.
Ohio State is 8-4-6 on the season and finished tied for sixth in the Big Ten with a record of 4-2-5. The Buckeyes had a program record streak of over 700 scoreless minutes during the season and have allowed just 11 goals on the year. Senior captain Molly Pritchard was named the Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year and she is the program’s all-time leader in shutouts with 30. Amanda Schlueter leads the team offensively with eight goals and four assists.
Georgia was 10-4-6 on the season and 6-1-3 in SEC play, reaching the semifinals of the SEC Tournament before losing to eventual champion Vanderbilt.
