COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 8 Ohio State scored three first-half goals and added a late insurance tally to earn a 4-0 victory over Princeton Thursday evening at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.

The Buckeyes improved to 3-0-1 on the season while recording their third shutout in the first four matches.

Senior Amanda Schlueter paced the Buckeye attack with a pair of goals, recording a goal in the first minute and the last minute. She now has 30 goals in her career.

Fellow senior Elle Britt added a goal and an assist, while freshman Mia Stevens scored her first career goal. Jadin Bonham registered two assists in the victory.

Ohio State wasted little time getting on the board as Schlueter finished a chance in the opening minute off assists from Bonham and Britt for a 1-0 advantage. The Buckeyes doubled the lead in the 10th minute when Britt found the back of the net following another setup from Bonham.

The Buckeyes continued to control play throughout the opening half and pushed the lead to 3-0 in the 34th minute. Callie Tumilty provided the assist on Stevens' goal at 33:39, helping Ohio State carry a three-goal cushion into halftime.

Ohio State maintained its advantage throughout the second half and capped the scoring when Schlueter converted a penalty kick at 89:18 after a Princeton yellow card in the box.

Defensively, Ohio State limited Princeton to 10 shots and only two shots on goal. Goalkeeper Peighton Northrup recorded her third shutout of the year.

The Buckeyes outshot Princeton 24-10 on the night.
