Season Opens with OSU Open and Duals This Weekend

Ohio State hosts individual event Saturday, team event Sunday
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State fencing program kicks off the 2025-26 schedule at home in French Field House, as it hosts the OSU Open Saturday and the OSU Duals Sunday. Admission and parking are free both days.
The OSU Open
Saturday is an individual tournament, with men's and women's competitions in foil, saber and epee.
The day opens with women's epee and foil at 8:30 a.m., followed by women's saber at 9:45 a.m. Men's epee will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by men's foil at 1:45 p.m. and men's saber at 3 p.m.

The OSU Duals
Sunday features six rounds of dual competition, with Ohio State, Wayne State, Cleveland State, Michigan, Purdue, Denison (men)Â and the OSU Club team (men) participating. Results will be updated throughout the day on OhioStateBuckeyes.com.
Round 1 (8:30 a.m.) – Ohio State vs. Purdue (M&W), Cleveland State vs. Michigan (M&W), OSU Club (M) vs. Dension (M)
Round 2 (9:45 a.m.) – Ohio State (W) vs. Michigan (W), Ohio State (M) vs. OSU Club (M), Cleveland State (W) vs. Purdue (W), Cleveland State (M) vs. Dension (M), Wayne State (M) vs. Purdue (M)

A Look at the Buckeye 2025-26 Slate
- Ohio State will return to action in November, hosting the Elite Invitational Nov. 8-9 in French Field House.
- Nov. 22-23, the Buckeyes will compete in the Western Invitational hosted by Air Force in Colorado.Â
- The new year begins with a trip east, as Ohio State will compete in the St. John's Invitational Jan. 17 and the Penn Invitational Jan. 18.
- The Schiller Duals hosted by Northwestern in Evanston, Ill., wrap up the regular season Jan. 31-Feb. 1.
- Denison will host the Central Collegiate Fencing Conference Championships Feb. 21-22 in Granville, Ohio.
- NCAA Regionals will be in Cleveland March 8 and Notre Dame will host the NCAA Championships March 19-22 in South Bend, Ind. At the national championsips, the women will compete the first two days, with the men wrapping up the event. For the first time, both a women's and a men's team champion will be crowned.
