
2025 Buckeye Lacrosse Alumni Weekend Recap

Last weekend, Ohio State men’s lacrosse hosted its annual alumni weekend and welcomed back generations of players to Columbus to celebrate the Buckeye Brotherhood.
Buckeye Lacrosse Golf Outing
Alumni weekend opened with the 17th annual Buckeye Lacrosse Golf Outing at the Ohio State Golf Course. Twenty seven foursomes took to the Gray course on Friday morning, with Grant Douglass winning with a score of 54.
This year’s Lindner Endowment Scholarship recipient is Dillon Magee. The scholarship, which honors the life of two-time Buckeye captain Dan Lindner’s wife and sons and has over $450,000 raised in the last decade, is given to a junior who demonstrates the upmost integrity and leadership while pursing an undergraduate degree.

Friday night, the 2026 Buckeyes played an intrasquad scrimmage with alumni on hand.





Team Banquet
The weekend closed with the annual team banquet. In addition to formally introducing the 2026 team, the 2025 graduates and their families were welcomed back to honor their Buckeye careers. The 2025 team was recognized for its historic accomplishments, including winning the program's first Big Ten regular season and tournament championships.
Team awards were also presented to players and staff for their service and contribution to the men's lacrosse program.
The 2024-25 award winners are:
- Al Brady Service to OSU – Janine Oman
- Mark Bergey Community service Award – Taji Flynn, 33 hours
- Outstanding Scholar Athlete – Ed Shean
- Four-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete
- Three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar
- 3.87 GPA (Finance)
- Currently in law school in Los Angeles with hopes of working in sports law
- Ground Ball Award – Jack Oldman
- Greg Bice Unsung Hero Award – Ed Shean
- Outstanding Freshman – Liam White
- Paul Hartman Most Improved Player – Garrett Haas
- John Minnis Team Defensive MVP – Bobby Van Buren
- Offensive MVP – Alex Marinier
