
Cullen Brown Tabbed B1G Defensive Player of the Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior defenseman Cullen Brown was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. Brown helped the Buckeyes to a 19-3 win over Detroit Mercy in the team's 2026 season opener.
Brown and the Buckeye defensive unit held the Titans to just three goals in the game and scoreless for 51:26. The captain from Silver Spring, Md. led the team with three caused turnovers and added three ground balls on the day. He also tallied his fifth career point with an assist in the third quarter.
Ohio State continues the homestand Saturday, Feb. 7 vs. Cleveland State. The Buckeyes and Vikings face off at 3 p.m. inside the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. The game will be streamed on B1G+ (subscription required).
