
Buckeyes Close Regular Season at Penn State, Turn Focus to Big Ten Tournament

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State closed out its regular season on Sunday afternoon with a hard-fought 2–0 loss at Penn State at Jeffrey Field.
Despite the loss, the Buckeyes have clinched a spot in the 10-team Big Ten Tournament and will now turn their focus toward postseason play. Ohio State finished the regular season at 8-3-6 overall and 4-2-5 in the Big Ten.
Penn State got on the board in the first half following an own goal and extended its lead in the 56th minute.
Senior goalkeeper and captain Molly Pritchard continued her standout season, tallying several key saves to keep the Buckeyes within striking distance. Pritchard entered the match leading the nation in goals-against average at just 0.350 and remains one of the most consistent defensive anchors in the country.
Offensively, Amanda Schlueter and Sydney Bering generated strong chances, while Ava Bramblett and Mia McSweeney controlled much of the Buckeyes' build-up.
