COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State will cap the regular season for the second consecutive season against Penn State. Sunday's match in State College will kick off at 1 p.m. and the match will be streamed live on B1G+.
- The Buckeyes have already clinched a spot in the 10-team Big Ten Tournament and are currently in sixth place with 17 points. Penn State is ninth with 14 points, just two points ahead of 11th place.
- This will be the 38th all-time meeting between the two programs with the Lady Lions leading the all-time series 26-7-2. However, Ohio State has won three of the last four meetings.
- Last year, the Buckeyes enjoyed a 4-1 victory over the Lady Lions in Columbus. The game was highlighted in the 85th minute as Kailyn Dudukovich scored her 41st career goal, setting a new program record.
- In the last meeting in State College in 2023, No. 4 Penn State took advantage of the wind in the second half and would ultimately head home a goal in the 89th minute to come away with a 2-1 victory.
- The Buckeyes are coming off a successful road trip last week, winning both matches at Rutgers and Maryland. That was the first back-to-back road Big Ten wins for the program since 2018.
- This season, Ohio State has outscored its opponents 23-8 and is No. 5 in the country in goals-against average at 0.500. The fewest goals allowed in a season in program history is 13.
- Senior goalkeeper and captain Molly Pritchard continues to lead the country in goals-against average at just 0.350.
- Amanda Schlueter scored three times last week and now has 24 goals in her career. She is now ninth in program history with 71 career points.
- Sophomore Jadin Bonham recorded a pair of goals in the win at Rutgers, marking the first multi-goal match of her career.
- Penn State is coming off a 2-1 loss at Indiana on Sunday and is in need of a win to help secure a spot in the Big Ten Tournament. The Lady Lions have scored 32 goals on the year, which is third-most in the conference.
