Ohio State Hosts Michigan and No. 18 Penn State This Weekend

The Buckeyes encourage fans to wear scarlet on Friday and will be giving away THE towels on Friday and T-shirts on Sunday.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's volleyball team (3-13, 0-8 B1G) hosts Michigan (12-7, 2-6 B1G) and No. 18 Penn State (11-7, 5-3 B1G) this weekend. The Buckeyes face the Wolverines on Friday at 6 p.m. and the Nittany Lions on Sunday at noon with both matches being broadcast live on B1G+.
Parking is free for all home matches in the lots across the street. Ohio State students are free to all home matches with their BuckID. Fans are encouraged to wear scarlet on Friday as the first 2,500 fans will receive a scarlet LED rally towel. Miss Ohio 2025, Olivia Fosson, is a rising 3L at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, and will be singing the national anthem before Friday's match. On Sunday, all fans with a designated seat will receive a free T-shirt and are encouraged to stick around after the match for a meet and greet on the concourse with the team.

- Ohio State dropped a four-set match (22-25, 25-18, 22-25, 16-25) at then No. 22 Indiana on Sunday.
- Hannah Jones led the Ohio State offense with 15 kills, her 10th match of the season with at least 10 kills. Mia Tuman earned a double-double with 31 assists and a team-high 12 digs.
- Jones leads the Buckeye offense with 3.64 kills/set this season. Olivia Hasbrook leads Ohio State in digs/set (3.38), ranking ninth in the Big Ten.
- Michigan holds a 12-7 overall record and is 2-6 in Big Ten play.
- The Wolverines hold conference wins over then No. 10 Minnesota and Iowa and have fallen to No. 1 Nebraska (twice), Michigan State, then No. 7 Wisconsin, then No. 20 Indiana and Northwestern.
- Allison Jacobs ranks fourth in the conference with 4.11 kills/set. Maddi Cuchran rounds out the top 10 in the Big Ten with 3.36 digs/set.
- Ohio State leads 57-29 in the all-time series against Michigan and is 30-10 against the Wolverines in Columbus.
- Each team won on the road last season. The Buckeyes fell in four sets (24-26, 23-25, 25-20, 21-25) at the Schottenstein Center on Oct. 13, 2024 before winning in five sets (25-20, 21-25, 25-20, 21-25, 15-7) on Nov. 8, 2024 on the road.
- No. 18 Penn State enters the weekend with an 11-7 overall record and a 5-3 mark in Big Ten matches. The Nittany Lions host Rutgers on Friday evening.
- Penn State owns wins against then No. 17 USC, Maryland, then No. 7 Wisconsin, Northwestern and Oregon and has fallen to UCLA, No. 1 Nebraska and Washington.
- Kennedy Martin leads the league with 5.18 kills/set and Gillian Grimes is eighth in the Big Ten with 3.38 digs/set.
- Ohio State trails 21-54 in the all-time series against Penn State and is 13-23 against the Nittany Lions in Columbus.
