Bjork Adds Responsibilities For Tucker Within Athletics Department

Longtime men’s tennis coach will assist in other areas of department
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ross Bjork, Ohio State director of athletics, announced Monday that Ty Tucker, men's tennis head coach, will have responsibilities added to his position within the department.
Tucker will have added focus on fundraising and community engagement in addition to his coaching responsibilities. The title of the new position will be Head Men's Tennis Coach, Senior Director of Tennis Operations and Special Assistant to the Athletics Director.
"We are thrilled Ty has accepted this expanded role and are eager to see the impact of his exceptional leadership in these new areas," Carly (Grimshaw) Rusnov, executive associate athletics director of compliance & sport administration, said. "Ty has an unwavering dedication to Ohio State Athletics and has built lasting relationships in and around the department and community during his tenure. We are confident that Ty's relentless pursuit of excellence will enable him to thrive in this new role and will continue to elevate not only our men's tennis program, but the department as a whole."
Tucker said he is excited about the additional opportunities to serve the department.
"I am honored to have the opportunity to expand my role within Ohio State Athletics and look forward to working with Mr. Bjork in serving Buckeye Nation," Tucker said.
Under Tucker's direction, men's tennis at Ohio State is recognized as one of the premier programs in the country. He has compiled a career record of 747-107, which includes a 250-13 record against Big Ten opponents.
The Buckeyes have won 19-consecutive Big Ten regular-season titles while earning 15 league tournament crowns.
Tucker's term at Ohio State currently runs through June 30, 2029. He first became head coach of the men's program in 1999.
