Buckeyes Battle in Bloomington, fall to No. 22 Indiana in Four Sets

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's volleyball team (3-13, 0-8 B1G) fell in four sets (22-25, 25-18, 22-25, 16-25) to No. 22 Indiana (15-3, 6-2 B1G) on Sunday afternoon in Bloomington.
Indiana held off a late Ohio State push to win the first set by a 25-22 margin. Ohio State evened the match with a 25-18 win in the second set. The Hoosiers regained the match advantage with a 25-22 set win in the third. Indiana wrapped up the match with a 25-16 win in the fourth set.

- S1: Ohio State scored the first three points of the match before Indiana scored the next four. The Hoosiers reclaimed the lead after the Buckeyes tied the match and used a 3-0 run to push their lead to 13-9, prompting an OSU timeout. Ohio State strung together five unanswered points, including two aces from Mia Stahler, to trim its deficit to 22-20. The Buckeyes got within one at 23-22, but the Hoosiers won the set by a 25-22 margin.
- S2: Indiana scored the first two points of the set before Ohio State used a 4-0 run to gain an early advantage. After the Hoosiers tied the set, the Buckeyes responded with a 5-0 run to take a 12-7 lead on a kill from Mina Gunes. Indiana pushed its lead to 22-15 before Ohio State strung together four unanswered points. The Hoosiers claimed the third set by a 25-22 margin.
- S4: The Hoosiers used an early 8-1 run to take a 12-4 lead. Indiana led by as many as 12 points at 18-6 before Ohio State strung together an 8-0 run, cutting its deficit to 18-14. Indiana scored the final five points of the match, winning the set by a 25-16 margin.
- This is the Buckeyes' fifth ranked opponent they face this season and second on the road.
- Hannah Jones totaled double figure kills for the 10th time this season, finishing with 15 kills.
- Mia Tuman earned her fourth double-double of the season, totaling 31 assists and 12 digs.
- Ashley Carr earned kills on each of her first six swings.
- S1: Each team had a 5-0 run during the set. Hannah Jones tied for the match lead in kills (5), hitting .714 on the set.
