
Buckeyes Close Regular Season at Texas A&M

Agnew, Day, Shaughnessy, Mosley and Castelli all finish in Top 20
COLUMBUS, Ohio –The Ohio State men's and women's cross country teams closed out the regular season at the Arturo Barrios Invitational hosted by Texas A&M in Bryan-College Station, Texas, Friday morning. The men were fourth, led by Top 20 finishes from Kevin Agnew, Weston Day and Liam Shaughnessy. The women placed 10th, with Aniya Mosley and Katie Castelli among the Top 20 runners.
Quoting head coach Sara Mason Vergote
"The men had an awesome day. We ran here two years ago and in comparison, the average time of our top 7 was 30 seconds faster today. We are trending in the right direction and are excited to head into the championship portion of the season.
"I thought Aniya and Katie did great for us up front. Aniya is coming into form at the right time and Katie had the best race she's ever had in a Buckeye uniform."

The Buckeye Men (8K)
- The men finished fourth with 111 points, behind host Texas A&M (51), Middle Tennessee State (89) and Stephen F. Austin (101).
- Kevin Agnew was the Buckeyes' top finisher for the fourth time in a row, placing 11th in 23:24.2. He has been in the Top 11 in all four races.
- Weston Day crossed the line shortly after, placing 14th in 23:26.4.
- Liam Shaughnessy also recorded a Top 20 finish and finished in 23:42.2.
- Noah Sharp (23:54.0) and Andrew Rohde (24:06.4), in 34th and 45th, respectively, closed out the Buckeye counters.
- Ten of the Buckeyes in the race ran personal bests – Kevin and Jack Agnew, Day, Shaughnessy, Sharp, Rohde, Chance Basilone, Will McGraw, Colin Cernansky and Zach Zielke.
The Buckeye Women (6K)
- The women were 10th among 37 teams in the 6K race (246 points).
- Aniya Mosley and Katie Castelli notched Top 20 finishes, placing in 15th and 18th. Mosley ran a 20:01.6 and Castelli finished in a personal best 20:06.1.
- Teodora Iovi, Mia Robillard and Allie Kopser, who ran her collegiate best for a 6K, rounded out the Buckeye counters.
- Sydney Paul, Ana Karmol, Emmi Von Scherr, Chloe Dostal and Sydney Stevenson wrapped up the Buckeye lineup, with Dostal running a personal best.
The Schedule Ahead
- Michigan State will host the Big Ten Championships Nov. 3.
- The NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships will be held in Evansville, Ind., Nov. 14 and the NCAA Championships will be in Columbia, Mo., Nov. 22.
