- Named Big Ten Freshman of the Week Sept. 4 after leading the Buckeyes to the team title in the Tommy Evans Invitational to open the season; in first official collegiate cross country event, finished the 6K second in 18:13.1, less than two seconds back of first place
- Ran 8K personal best at Loyola (24:31.86) and was just off that mark at Big Tens (24:34.5)
- Raced in Big Ten and NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships
