COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men's and women's cross country teams head to East Lansing, Mich., Friday for the 2025 Big Ten Championships. The men's 8K is slated to start at 10:35 a.m., with the women's 6K getting underway at 11:35 a.m. The awards ceremony will follow at 12:30 p.m. The Top 10 finishers are named First Team All-Big Ten, with finishers 11-20 named to the second team and the Top 5 freshmen named to the B1G All-Freshman Team.

Buckeye This and That
- Ohio State competed at Michigan State earlier this year, giving the squads an early look at the conference meet courses.
- For the women, Tedora Iovi and Mia Robillard were counters in the four regular season races. Katie Castelli was in the Buckeyes' top two in the three races she ran and Aniya Mosley crossed the line first for Ohio State in both races she ran (at Mizzou, at Texas A&M). Zoee Lehman raced in the first three events and was a counter in each and Ana Karmol was among the top five in the first three meets.
- On the men's side, Kevin Agnew has crossed the line first for the Buckeyes in all four regular season races and was in the Top 11 overall in all four. Weston Day finished in the Buckeyes' top five in all four races, while Liam Shaughnessy, Colby Adams and Noah Sharp each were a counter in three events.
- Eight of the men on this year's roster have experience at the Big Ten Championships. Kevin Agnew (2021, '23, '24) and Liam Shaughnessy (2022, '23, '24) have both competed in the conference meet three times. Sean Carney raced in both 2022 and '23 and Jack Agnew, Weston Day and Connor Long all ran in last year's meet, while Keegan Souhan was in the 2022 event.
- For the women, Audrey DeSantis and Sydney Paul have both been in each of the last three championships (2022, '23, '24). Ana Karmol and Aniya Mosley both competed in 2023 and '24, while Katie Castelli and Teodora Iovi ran in 2024 and Zoee Lehman competed in 2023.
- Ohio State has had at least one all-conference selection among the women each of the last six seasons and a Top 8 finisher each of the last five years. Allie Guagenti was fifth in 2020, Addie Engel was fourth in 2021 before finishing first in 2022 and '23, Daniella Santos was fourth in 2022 and eighth in 2023, Andrea Kuhn was sixth in 2022 and Aniya Mosley was eighth in 2024.
- The women have finished a program-best fourth three times (1984, 2014, 2022). The team placed eighth in 2024.
- Ohio State's men's team has one Big Ten championship (1923) and finished runner-up eight times, most recently in 2009. The squad was 10th last season.
- In the most recent Great Lakes Region rankings, the Buckeye women are ninth. Big Ten schools in the Top 10 are No. 2 Wisconsin, No. 3 Michigan State and No. 8 Michigan. In the national rankings among Big Ten schools, Oregon is No. 4, Northwestern is No. 8, Penn State is No. 12, Wisconsin is No. 19, Washington is tied for 20th and Michigan State is 24th.
- In the men's Great Lakes Regional rankings, the Buckeyes are sixth. Other Big Ten schools in the Top 10 are No. 1 Michigan State, No. 3 Wisconsin, No. 5 Michigan and No. 7 Purdue. The nationally ranked Big Ten teams are No. 10 Oregon, No. 13 Michigan State, No. 15 Wisconsin and No. 25 Michigan.
- The NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships will be held in Evansville, Ind., Nov. 14 and the NCAA Championships will be in Columbia, Mo., Nov. 22.
