COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State (5-6, 2-3 B1G) is set for the 2024 Big Ten Championship rematch against No. 13 Michigan (6-2-3, 2-2) Tuesday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. The match starts at 6 p.m. and will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
- Last time out, Ohio State took a 2-1 lead over the Hoosiers after goals by Thomas Gilej and Michael Ndiweni, then Indiana struck three times in the second half to down the Buckeyes, 4-2.
- It was Gilej's third career goal and first of the season, Ndiweni recorded his first career goal.
- Luciano Pechota notched his team-leading fourth assist and Nyle Waugh grabbed his first career assist.
- Max Trejo allowed four goals against Indiana, he recorded a career-high six saves and faced a season-high 20 shots.
- The Buckeyes have been without leading scorer Marko Borkovic after he suffered an injury against UCLA on Sept. 29.
- The Wolverines have seven players that have scored at least two goals, Quin Rogers leads the team with four goals. Keeper Isaiah Goldson has recorded five shutouts on the season and allowed 10 goals in 11 games.
- Ohio State defeated Michigan twice last year. In the regular season, the Buckeyes won 6-3 in Ann Arbor before facing off against the Wolverines in the Big Ten Championship game in Columbus, triumphing 1-0 to become 2024 Big Ten Tournament Champions.
- The Buckeyes last loss in Columbus against the Wolverines dates back to Oct. 2, 2019. Ohio State owns an all-time 24-13-3 record against Michigan.
- After Michigan, the Buckeyes will face off against two more ranked Big Ten opponents. They'll remain home to face No. 15 Maryland Oct. 18 at noon on Big Ten Network before traveling to the west coast to face No. 22 Washington Oct. 24 at 10 p.m on BIG+.
