Ohio State returns home to host No. 2 Michigan State Thursday/Friday
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 9/8-ranked Ohio State men's hockey tied the game twice in the third period, but Penn State prevailed in overtime, 3-2, Saturday at Pegula Ice Arena in University Park, Pa.

After a scoreless first, Penn State led 1-0 after the second on a power play score. Buckeye Riley Thompson tied the game at 8:36 of the third on a power play goal but the Nittany Lions pushed back ahead at 16:30. With just 21 seconds left, Buckeye Patrick Guzzo deadlocked the score with an extra attacker goal. Penn State notched the gamewinner at 3:26 of OT.

Ohio State is now 15-7-2 overall, with an 8-5-1 2-2-0 Big Ten ledger. Friday, the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions (11-10-3, 2-9-3, 1-1-2) skated to a 6-6 tie in overtime and Penn State picked up the extra Big Ten point with a shootout win.
