COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 5 Ohio State men's gymnastics team (6-0) travels to the Stanford Open on Saturday night. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. ET and will also include No. 1 Stanford and No. 11 California.

Ohio State is ranked fifth in the nation after two weeks of the season. The Buckeyes beat then No. 9 Greenville by a 319.700-303.150 margin in the OSU home opener this past Friday.
The Buckeyes earned individual event wins against Greenville on all six events – floor (Kameron Nelson – 13.750), pommel horse (Parker Thackston – 14.650), rings (Tyler Rockwood – 13.350), vault (Nelson – 14.550), parallel bars (Caden Spencer – 13.950) and high bar (Spencer – 14.100). Nelson (floor, vault) and Thackston (pommel horse) have both won those events in the first two meets of the season.
Ohio State improved its team score from the first meet by nearly four points. The Buckeyes bumped up their team scores on pommel horse (55.100), rings (52.600), vault (56.300) and parallel bars (54.400) against Greenville.
Spencer was named Big Ten Co-Gymnast of the Week on Tuesday for the third time in his career after winning parallel bars and high bar last weekend and sticking both of his dismounts. His high bar score (14.100) is tied for the highest in the country this season.
