COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 2 Ohio State women's hockey team closes its regular season non-conference schedule this week against Mercyhurst. The Buckeyes (17-5-3, 12-5-3 WCHA) and Lakers (13-11-1, 8-5-1 CHA) face off Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 4 p.m. from the Mercyhurst Ice Center in Erie, Pa.

Buckeyes in a Nutshell
- Tuesday's game is Ohio State's third in five days. The Buckeyes are coming off a series sweep of Minnesota Duluth on the road this past weekend.
- The sweep of the Bulldogs pushes the Buckeyes up to second place in the WCHA standings. The team has 39 conference points and is tied with Minnesota.
- Ohio State owns a 5-0-0 in non-conference play this season entering the matchup against the Lakers.
- Sophomore forwards Jocelyn Amos and Joy Dunne lead the Buckeyes with 31 points on the year. Amos paces the team with 17 goals. Emma Peschel has recorded a team-high 17 assists.
- Amos ranks second in the country with six power play goals this season. She has scored four of those power play goals in the last four games. The Ailsa Craig, Ont. native is also sixth in the country in goals per game (.68).
- Dunne owns the team's longest active point streak of five games. Since the Frozen Confines shootout win against Wisconsin on Jan. 4, Dunne has recorded seven points on three goals and four assists.
- Graduate goaltender Amanda Thiele has played in 17 games this season for the Buckeyes, earning an 11-4-2 record. She has earned a .894 save percentage and 2.04 goals against average and has wins over No. 1 Wisconsin, No. 3 Minnesota and No. 4 Minnesota Duluth.
- Tuesday's game is the conclusion of a home-and-home series between Ohio State and Mercyhurst this season. The Buckeyes won the first matchup of the season, 5-1.
- The Buckeyes are now 5-4-0 against the Lakers all time. Ohio State has won four of the last five meetings, including the last three games.
- The last time the teams met in Erie, Pa. was December of 2017. The series was split with Ohio State winning game one, 2-1, and Mercyhurst taking game two, 6-4.
