Ohio State Sweeps Bowling Green to Wrap Up Non-Conference Slate

The Buckeyes improved to 15-0 all-time against the Falcons with a sweep in Covelli on Sunday afternoon.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's volleyball team (7-3) earned the sweep (25-16, 25-19, 25-15) against Bowling Green (5-6) on Sunday afternoon in Covelli to wrap up the non-conference schedule.
Ohio State got off to a quick start and kept the pressure on throughout the first set to earn a 25-16 set win. The Buckeyes scored the first three points of the second set and led the entire way to a 25-19 set win. Ohio State's defense forced Bowling Green to hit in the red (-.052) during the third set to cruise to a 25-15 set win and earn the sweep.
Emily Londot was the first in the match to reach 10 kills and finished with 19 kills. She added 14 digs for her fifth consecutive double-double. Olivia Hasbrook was the first in the match to reach 10 digs and totaled 16 digs. Grace Egan tied her career-high four aces.

Bowling Green opened scoring before Ohio State put together a 6-0 run to take an early 7-2 lead and force a BG timeout. The Buckeyes extended their lead to 14-6 to prompt a second Falcons timeout. BGSU scored the next four points out of the timeout to cut the OSU lead to 14-10. Ohio State responded with five of the next six points to increase the lead to 19-11. The Buckeyes scored the final three points of a 25-16 set win, capped by Grace Egan's fifth kill.
