How It Happened
The Buckeyes scored first in the 31' when Deylen Vellios found David Wrona at the top of the box. Wrona then executed a nifty touch-pass to Parker Grinstead, who put it away off his left foot for the 1-0 lead.
The goal was Grinstead's second of the season of 10th of his career. Vellios has five assists this season and eight for his career. Wrona has two assists this season and six all-time.

Freshman David Ajagbe netted his fourth goal of the year on a header from a cross delivered by Anthony Samways in the 60'. The assist was the second this season for Samways and his 12th career.

Luciano Pechota added the final score of the night in the 82' after Michael Adedokun had a shot stopped on a breakaway by Rutgers keeper Ciaran Dalton. Pechota was right there to gather the rebound and put it away for his fourth goal of the season and 10th for his career.

The last time Ohio State did not allow a goal over three-consecutive matches was a year ago. That stretch started with a 2-0 win at Rutgers followed by scoreless draws in Columbus against Xavier and Michigan.
