The start of the match was delayed an hour because of high winds in the Columbus area. Steady rain throughout the day subsided prior to the 8 p.m. first touch though high winds were prevalent. At the start of the game, wind was coming from the east at about 20 miles per hour. As the game progressed wind speeds decreased to around 10 mph.

How it Happened
Senior Michael Adedokun dribbled clear at the top of the box in the 33' and let loose a blast that found the back of the net for a 1-0 lead. Luciano Pechota was credited with the assist. The score was the fourth of the year for Adedokun and his 11th career score. Pechota now has five career assists after his first of the season.

Just after Ohio State took the lead, heavy rain and high winds returned to the area.

Indiana tied it at 1-all in the 41' during a heavy downpour on a goal by Samuel Sarver that got by Ohio State keeper Patrick McLaughlin. Â

The Buckeyes regained the lead in the 51' when after an Ohio State corner was cleared to the left side, Anthony Samway gathered and delivered a cross to the box where senior Siggi Magnusson headed in the go-ahead goal, his second of the season and for his career.

Indiana got the equalizer in the 80' when Tommy Mihalic scored after a scramble to make it 2-all.

Indiana's first-half goal was the first allowed by the Buckeyes in the last 352 minutes. Â

Entering the match, Ohio State had not allowed a goal in more than 311 minutes. Xavier scored in the 49' in 3-1 loss to the Buckeyes Sept. 8. Ohio State then held the Musketeers scoreless over the final 41 minutes of the match before three-consecutive shutouts against Butler (1-0), Penn State (5-0) and Rutgers (3-0).
