COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State heads to the Pacific Northwest for its second tournament of the season. The Tindall will be played at the beautiful Aldarra Golf Club in Fall City, Wash., The first two rounds will be played on Monday, Sept. 23, with the final 18 holes coming on Tuesday, Sept. 24.
- Ohio State’s lineup this week will consist of Tyler Sabo, Jack Vojtko, Vaughn Harber, Joe Wilson IV and Timotej Formanek. Jacob Tarkany will compete as an individual this week.
- The Buckeyes opened the season with a seventh-place finish at the Folds of Honor Collegiate earlier this month. Tyler Sabo and Jack Vojtko led the team as they both finished tied for 12th at 2-over par.
- Sabo posted three steady rounds of 71-72-72 at Folds of Honor. He will be playing in his 10th career event this week.
- Vojtko posted the only round of the 60s for the Buckeyes at Folds of Honor, finishing with a final round of 2-under 69. He made a team-high 11 birdies for the event and posted a pair of rounds at par or better.
- Freshman Vaugh Harber had a solid collegiate debut at Folds of Honor, finishing tied for 30th at 8-over par.
- Joe Wilson IV, who had played in a collegiate event in almost a year a half, shook off a tough start and posted a final round 73 at Folds of Honor.
- Timotej Formanek will be making his collegiate this week. The Czech Republic native won the Czech International Match Play Championship this summer and rose to as high as 236 in the WAGR during his prep career.
- Jacob Tarkany is the most veteran member of this year’s team. He has played in 18 career events and opened the years with rounds of 75-77-75 at Folds of Honor.
- Aldarra Golf Club is a gem of a course in the Northwest. Built on land owned by the Boeing family, Tom Fazio designed the par-71 layout which features mountain views on every hole. The course was opened in 2001.
- Temperatures for the two days are expected to be in the upper-60s and low-70s with little chance of rain.
