COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women’s soccer hosts Milwaukee Thursday evening and Ashland Sunday evening. Both kick-offs are set for 6 p.m. at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium and will be streamed on B1G+.
Admission and parking are free for all Ohio State women’s soccer matches.
- This is the Buckeyes third match against Milwaukee. The series is tied 1-1-0.
- Ohio State won the last matchup against Milwaukee 2-1 on Nov. 18, 2011, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Durham, N.C. The Buckeyes got goals from Paige Maxwell in the 68th minute and Caitlyn Martin in the 85th minute.
- The Buckeyes are 4-2-0 all-time against Horizon League opponents.
- Sunday's match will be the first matchup between Ohio State and Ashland.
- This will be just Ohio State's third match against a non-DI opponent and the first since the program's first season in 1993. The Buckeyes beat DIII Gustavas Adolphus 2-0 as well as DIII Denison 3-0 during that season.
- Milwaukee is making its second trip to Ohio this season as the Panthers lost 4-2 at Xavier last Thursday.
- Ashland has lost just six times over the last three seasons under head coach Cayleb Paulino is coming off a 19-1-4 campaign in 2023.
- The Buckeyes opened the season with a 1-0 victory over No. 24 Duke last Thursday. Kailyn Dudukovich scored in the 55th minute and keeper Molly Pritchard made it stand as she recorded a career-high 11 saves.
- Ohio State is ranked No. 18 in this week's USC Top 25. It's the first time the Buckeyes have been ranked for a match since Oct. 30, 2022.
- Dudukovich is the team's leading scorer as she has 26 career goals and 61 career points. Both totals are in the Top 15 in program history.
- Ohio State is in its 32nd season and its 28th under the direction of head coach Lori Walker Hock. She has 305 career victories and is eight wins away from 300 in her Ohio State career.
- Fifth-year Peyton McNamara, senior Sydney Jones and sophomore Amanda Schlueter were all named Big Ten Players to Watch this season.
