
Terefenko Named to United States’ World Lacrosse Box Championship Roster

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Former Ohio State men's lacrosse player Ryan Terefenko will represent the United States in the World Lacross Box Championships next month, USA Lacrosse announced Thursday. He is one of 23 players who will compete at the world championship set for Sept. 20-29 in Utica, N.Y.
This is Terefenko's first appearance for USA Lacrosse's box team. He previously played for the U.S. in the 2023 World Lacrosse field championship. He is one of five members from the gold medal team who will play on this year's box team.
The United States men have won the bronze medal at each of the previous five world box championships, most recently in 2019.
A three-time captain for the Buckeyes during his five-year collegiate career, Terefenko is Ohio State's first and only four-time USILA All-American. He played in 59 career games and finished with 20 goals, 20 assists, 166 ground balls, 15 caused turnovers and a .571 face-off percentage (8-of-14).
