COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men's gymnastics team (8-4, 1-3 B1G) travels to Champaign, Ill. for the 2024 Big Ten Championships on Friday and Saturday. Both days' competition starts at 8 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on BTN. On Friday, the team champion will be crowned and on Saturday, individual champions will be decided. Â
- The Buckeyes most recently fell 414.150-418.200 in the regular-season finale against No. 5 Nebraska on Tuesday, March 26.
- Ohio State earned its highest pommel horse score (69.100) of the season, led by a career-high 15.250 and event win from Parker Thackston.
- The Buckeyes also totaled their highest parallel bars score (68.550) of the season. Jakob Murray earned the event win with a career-high 14.250 and a stuck dismount.
- Other event wins included Kameron Nelson on floor (tied career-high 14.800), Donovan Hewitt on rings (14.050) and Zach Snyder on vault (14.750).
- Hewitt was named a Nissen-Emery Award finalist by the College Gymnastics Association. The Nissen-Emery Award is given to the country's most outstanding senior gymnast.
- In Monday's weekly awards announcement, Thackston was named Big Ten Specialist of the Week and Snyder was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week – both earning their respective award for the second time this season.
- Tyler Rockwood was honored as a Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner on Tuesday.
