
Buckeyes Climb on Day 2 of Big Ten Championship

Neal Shipley fired a tremendous round of 1-under 69 to jump 27 spots into a tie for 5th
COLUMBUS, Ohio – On an extremely windy day at Scioto Country Club, Neal Shipley fired a 1-under 69 to help lift the Buckeyes into fourth place through two rounds of the Big Ten Championship.
Shipley’s round, which featured five birdies, was tied for the low-round of the day with individual leader Ashton McCulloch of Michigan State. He is currently tied for 5th at 3-over par, just three shots behind McCulloch.
As a team, the Buckeyes finished with a 297 and rose three spots to fourth place. The average score individually for the day was 76.79, a full two and a half shots higher than the opening round.
Senior Adam Wallin came in with a 75 on Saturday and is tied for 18th at 7-over par. Jackson Chandler followed his superb opening round 71 with a 77 and is a shot behind Wallin at 8-over par.
Maxwell Moldovan pared his final three holes to card a 76 and is tied for 27th at 10-over par. Jack Vojtko rounds out the Buckeye scorers as he has carded rounds of 77-79 and stands at 16-over par.
The Buckeyes will be paired with Purdue and Wisconsin in Sunday’s final round and will start at 8:50 a.m. off the first tee.
