
Six Buckeyes Named All-Big Ten, Tucker Coach of the Year

This is the third consecutive season in which Ohio State has had six All-Big Ten selections

COLUMBUS, Ohio – For the third consecutive season, six members of the Ohio State tennis team have earned All-Big Ten accolades. Director of tennis Ty Tucker has been named Coach of the Year for the record 17th time.
Cannon Kingsley, Justin Boulais, JJ Tracy, Jack Anthrop, Robert Cash and Alexander Bernard have made up the starting singles lineup for the majority of the season and all six earned All-Big Ten honors.
Kingsley leads the Buckeye contingent by earning first team honors for the fifth consecutive season. He is the only player in Big Ten men’s tennis history to earn that distinction. The Northport, N.Y. native is a two-time Big Ten Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Year as well as a three-time All-American. He has a singles record of 15-4 this season with six wins over ranked opponents. He is also 14-5 in doubles and recently went over 100 career singles victories.
Tracy has also earned All-Big Ten honors in every season, picking up his third first team honor to go along with a second team award from 2021. Tracy has been dominant this season, leading the team with 60 combined victories. He is tied for the team lead with 28 doubles wins and has a remarkable 32-3 singles record. He started the season on the right foot, winning the doubles title at the ITA All-American Championship and the winning the singles title at the ITA Midwest Regional in the fall.
Cash claims second team honors for the third consecutive season. He has a career-best 20-3 singles record this season with his only loss this spring coming in a super-tiebreaker. In doubles, he is 28-5 and just broke the program record for career doubles win. The New Albany, Ohio native recorded his 140th doubles win in the season-finale at Wisconsin. He paired with Tracy to win the All-American Championship in the fall and the duo has been ranked in the Top 5 all season. Cash was also the ITA Indoor Team National Championship’s Most Outstanding Player as he had a combined six victories, including singles wins in all four matches.
Boulais earns first team honors for the second-straight year. The Oakville, Ontario native has been solid at the top of the Buckeye lineup, holding a 15-6 record at the Nos. 1 and 2 spots and claiming six wins over ranked opponents. In doubles, he has a record of 17-8, including a 10-2 mark at the No. 2 spot. Boulais played the pro circuit in the fall and claimed both a singles and doubles title, jumping up to career-high ATP ranks in both.
Anthrop and Bernard have been nearly unstoppable this season. They are a combined 43-0 and both have wins at four different singles spots.
Bernard earned second team honors after earning first team honors last season as a freshman. He is 22-0 this spring and has a 29-4 overall singles record. He reached the finals in both singles and doubles at the ITA Midwest Regional Championship in the fall. That helped earn him a spot in the ITA Fall National Championship singles draw.
Anthrop claimed his first All-Big Ten honor, earning first team acclaim. He 33-3 overall this season and 21-0 this spring. He also has a 10-3 doubles record. The Orlando, Fla., native is a remarkable 38-2 in dual singles matches over his first team seasons.

For Tucker, his reign at the top of the Big Ten continued again this season. He led the Buckeyes to a 9-0 B1G record and an 18th consecutive title. The Buckeyes surrendered just three points in the nine Big Ten matches this year. Since the consecutive title streak started in 2006, Ohio State is a remarkable 188-2 in conference play.

Redshirt-sophomore Reece Yakubov was named the team’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner. The Upper Arlington, Ohio native has a pair of singles and doubles wins this season and the Biology major earned his third OSU Scholar-Athlete award.
