COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men's lacrosse team is set for its third game in eight days as it hosts No. 7 Denver Sunday at Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium. First faceoff between the Buckeyes (5-3, 0-0 B1G) and Pioneers (5-1, 0-0 Big East) is scheduled for noon.

Sunday's game is Military Appreciation. Veterans or active-duty military can show their military badge or ID to receive Our Honor Defend merchandise while supplies last. - Ohio State won its midweek matchup against Detroit Mercy Tuesday night, 16-10.
- Twelve Buckeyes recorded a point and of the nine players who scored a goal, Ben Mayer, Jack McKenna and Matt Caputo tallied hat tricks.
- Both Caleb Fyock and Danny Brady saw time in goal, making five saves each.
- At the faceoff, Jack Oldman went 17-of-21 and picked up 14 ground balls while recording his first career points as a Buckeye with a goal and an assist.

- At the faceoff X, the Buckeyes are seventh in the country with an overall win percentage of .605. Graduate Tommy Burke leads the team in wins with 78. He owns a .595 win percentage. Oldman's season high 17 wins against Detroit Mercy gave him 30 wins on the season and a .625 win percentage.
- Fyock continues to lead the league with a 9.23 goals against average in his first collegiate season. The mark is good for eighth nationally. Â
- Ohio State is 15-14 all-time against Denver. In Columbus, the Buckeyes own an 8-4 edge in the series. Sunday is the first time the teams will play in Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium.
- This year is the third meeting in as many seasons between the Buckeyes and Pioneers. Last season, Denver won the matchup in Colorado, 17-12. In the last meeting between the programs in Columbus in 2022, Ohio State fell just short of the Pioneers, 14-12.
- The Buckeyes last win over Denver was a 16-7 victory in 2017 in Columbus.
- The first meeting of the series was in Columbus in 1993. Ohio State won the matchup, 9-7, and went on to win the following four contests between the two teams. Â
