
Ohio State Announces 2025 Softball Schedule

Buckeyes will play 22 home games this spring, highlighted by a visit from Texas
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Twenty-two home games at Buckeye Field – including a visit by national runner-up Texas on March 10 – highlights the 2025 Ohio State softball schedule, which was released today.
"We couldn't be more excited about how this schedule has come together, especially the slate of home games," said head coach Kirin Kumar. "Being able to host multiple top ranked teams will be not only be a great opportunity for our team but also showcase our fan base. There will be a lot of exciting softball at Buckeye Field and can't wait to see everyone in the spring."
Ticket Information – Mini Plans and Single Game Tickets
Two-game mini plans are set to go on sale on Thursday, Dec. 5 beginning at 10 a.m. The mini plan will include the game vs. Texas and a choice of one of the following: Akron (March 26), Youngstown State (March 19) or IPFW (March 25). The cost of the mini plan starts at $26. Fans interested in a mini plan can purchase those packages HERE.
For those interested in purchasing single-game tickets, those will go on sale HERE at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Prices for non-premier games range from $5-$9 before fees. Premier pricing will be in place for a select number of home games this season. Seating at Buckeye Field is general admission. A limited number of student tickets will be available for free at each game with a BuckID on a first come, first serve basis. Children under two years old and younger will be admitted free but must sit on an adult's lap.

Due to limited capacity at Buckeye Field, fans are encouraged to purchase tickets early.
More on the 2025 Schedule
Ohio State will spend the first four weekends of the season on the road, as it will play 19 games away from home over four consecutive weekends. The season-opening tournament is at Elon (Feb. 7-9) with games against North Carolina Central, UNC Greensboro, Elon and UConn.
The next weekend, Feb. 14-16, the Buckeyes are at one of college softball's most premier early-season events: the Clearwater Invitational. There, they'll face Florida State, Missouri, Alabama, Clemson and UCF. All five of those teams were NCAA Tournament participants last season and three of them made Super Regionals.
To close out the month of February, Ohio State heads to Evansville, Ind. for the Evansville Tournament (Feb. 21-23) and Athens, Ga. for the Georgia Invitational Feb. 28-March 1.
Fans will have plenty of opportunities to see Ohio State at home in the month of March, as 16 of the Buckeyes' 19 games will be played at Buckeye Field. Ohio State's home schedule begins March 7-10 when the Buckeyes host an in-season tournament. In all, they'll play five games in a four-day span with matchups against St. Francis (March 7), Oakland (March 7), Merrimack (March 8), Kent State (March 9) and Texas (March 10). They'll follow that up with a game against Notre Dame on March 11 before Nebraska comes to town for three games March 14-16.
Following a road series at Michigan State March 21-23, the Buckeyes will close out the month of March with a five-game homestand versus IPFW (March 25), Akron (March 26) and a three-game series vs. Indiana (March 29-31).
April begins with a trip to the west coast to play Long Beach State (April 2) and a two-game series against one of three new teams entering the Big Ten this season – UCLA (April 4-5). There are also trips to Pittsburgh (April 9), Penn State (April 11-13), Dayton (April 16) and Ohio (April 22) on the slate along with home series against Michigan (April 18-20) and Purdue (April 25-27).
The regular season concludes the weekend of May 2-4 at Illinois and the Big Ten Tournament will take place May 7-10 in West Lafayette, Ind. on the campus of Purdue University.
