COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 10 Ohio State has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament and will take on top-seed and No. 4 ranked USC on Monday afternoon. The game will be streamed on B1G+.
- The Buckeyes finished in a tie for seventh in the Big Ten Standings and are the No. 8 seed in the tournament.
- This is the 22nd Big Ten Tournament appearance for the Buckeyes, who have an all-time record of 14-16-5 with three titles in 2002, 2004 and 2012.
- The match will be just the second all-time meeting between Ohio State and USC with the first coming just about three weeks ago in Los Angeles. USC won a very well played 1-0 match as the Trojans got a goal in the 83rd minutes. USC's penalty kick was saved by OSU goalkeeper Molly Pritchard but the rebound was tucked home by Simone Jackson to give the Trojans the victory.
- After snow postponed their opening round match by a day, the Buckeyes advanced to the quarterfinals with a 1-0 victory over Wisconsin on Friday afternoon. The best forward in the league, Kailyn Dudukovich, scored with 11 minutes to play for her eighth game-winning goal of the season. The assist came from Amanda Schlueter as she tallied her Big Ten leading 11th helper of the season.
- For Dudukovich, it was her 42nd career goal as she continues to add to her program record. She is second in the country and tied for the most in the Big Ten with 17 goals this season. Her 35 points are also Top 10 nationally.
- Ohio State capped the regular season in style on Oct. 27 with a 4-1 win over No. 15 Penn State. The four goals were the most the Buckeyes have scored in 37 meetings with Penn State and were also tied for the most PSU has ever surrendered in a Big Ten match.
- The Buckeyes are ranked No. 10 in the latest coaches poll. They are also No. 13 in the current RPI. This is the latest into a season in which the Buckeyes have been ranked in the Top 10 since being ranked 9th for a Big Ten Tournament match against Penn State on Nov. 3, 2017.
- Schlueter has three assists in the last two matches and has 11 on the season, which is just one shy of the program's single-season record. Her 11 assists are also third-most nationally.
- Schlueter and Dudukovich have been quite the scoring duo this season. Schlueter has assisted on seven of Dudukovich's 17 goals.
