Ohio State set for six rounds of fencing
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio State fencing team heads to Philadelphia for the Elite Invitational Sunday. UPenn will host the event in the Tse Center.
The Buckeyes will take on North Carolina at 8:30 a.m., Princeton at 9:45 a.m. and Penn at 11 a.m. Following a lunch break, the day ends with matches against Notre Dame at 1 p.m., Columbia at 2:15 p.m. and Duke at 3:30 p.m.Â

- Ohio State opened the year with both the men and women posting 5-0 marks in the OSU Duals Sept. 29. At the West Invitational Nov. 2-3, the men compiled a 5-1 record over the two days, with the women notching a 7-1 mark.
- In the preseason coaches poll compiled by the USFCA, Ohio State's women are ranked 10th, with the men sixth.Â
- The Elite Invitational closes out the 2024 portion of the Buckeye schedule. The team will be back in action Jan. 18 at the St. John's Duals in Queens, N.Y., followed by a return to Penn for the Philadelphia Invitational Jan. 19. The Northwestern Duals wrap up the regular season Feb. 1-2. Detroit Mercy will host the CCFC Championships Feb. 22-23, with NCAA Midwest Regionals hosted by Denison in Granville, Ohio, March 8. Penn State will host the 2025 NCAA Fencing Championships March 20-23 in University Park, Pa.Â
