COLUMBUS, Ohio – The top two teams in Division I women's hockey meet in Columbus this weekend as No. 2 Ohio State hosts No. 1 Wisconsin in a two-game series at the OSU Ice Rink. The 2024 national championship rematch between the Buckeyes (11-2-2, 6-2-2 WCHA) and Badgers (12-0-0, 8-0-0 WCHA) is set for 6 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday.

Buckeyes in a Nutshell
- Both Ohio State and Wisconsin enter the match up coming off a bye week. Prior to the break, Ohio State won twice at St. Thomas, earning a 5-1 victory and 1-0 overtime win over the Tommies in Mendota Heights, Minn.
- Jocelyn Amos, Jenna Buglioni and Joy Dunne lead the Buckeyes with 11 goals on the year. The trio is tied for second nationally in the category.
- Buglioni's 22 points pace the team. She hit the 20-point mark 14 games into the season with a three-point performance in the game one win at St. Thomas (Nov. 1).
- Dunne and Buglioni are on team-high seven-game point streaks. Buglioni has tallied a goal in six of the last seven games. The players are two of seven players across Division I with 20-plus points this season.
- Emma Peschel leads the team with a +20 on the year. The mark is good for fifth in the country. The Edina, Minn. native helps lead the Buckeye blueline that's held opponents to under two goals and 20 shots per game.
- Ohio State leads the country with three shorthanded goals. Buglioni has scored two to tie for first nationally. The Port Moody, B.C. native has five shorthanded goals for her career, one shy of the program record.
- On the faceoff, Buglioni and Amos rank top two in the country in wins with 201 and 197, respectively. Amos leads the Buckeyes with a .741 win percentage at the dot. Â Â
- During the bye week, Dunne was one of 10 collegiate players who took the ice for Team USA in the November Rivalry Series games. She played in two games last weekend and recorded an assist in the United States' 7-2 win over Canada in game one.
- Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) training camp begins this week, and 16 Ohio State women's hockey alumnae earned invites. Among those signed to contracts for the 2024-25 season are Cayla Barnes (Montreal), Hannah Bilka (Boston), Jenn Gardiner (Montreal), Sophie Jaques (Minnesota), Raygan Kirk (Toronto), Emma Maltais (Toronto), Jincy (Dunne) Roese (Ottawa), Liz Schepers (Minnesota) and Natalie Spooner (Toronto).
- Ohio State is 6-4-0 against Wisconsin in the last 10 meetings and finished the 2023-24 campaign 4-2-0 against the Badgers.
- The teams have met in the last two national title games, with Wisconsin winning the 2023 title with a 1-0 victory and the Buckeyes taking the 2024 title with a 1-0 win.
- This is the third consecutive regular season matchup between the teams as the top two ranked programs in the national polls.
- In head coach Nadine Muzerall's tenure, the Buckeyes are 17-19-4 against Wisconsin.
