COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's volleyball team (9-12, 2-9 B1G) travels to Michigan State (8-13, 1-9 B1G) for a Sunday matinee, beginning at noon. The match will be broadcast live on B1G+.
- Ohio State earned a win in straight sets (25-21, 25-16, 25-23) against Iowa on Halloween inside the Covelli Center.
- Emily Londot led all players with 11 kills and Olivia Hasbrook led all players with 12 digs. The Buckeye defense didn't allow any Iowa players to record 10 kills or 10 digs.
- Rylee Rader and Eloise Brandewie both hit .500 in the middle in OSU's win over the Hawkeyes. Rader had nine kills on 16 swings and Brandewie had five kills on eight swings with each committing only one error.
- Michigan State enters the weekend with an 8-13 overall record and is 1-9 in Big Ten matches. The Spartans are scheduled to host No. 15 Minnesota on Friday evening.
- MSU's conference win came on Oct. 24 at No. 16 USC in five sets (20-25, 22-25, 27-25, 25-20, 15-13). The Spartans have already faced Michigan, then No. 4/3 Penn State (twice), Indiana, No. 10 Purdue, Illinois, No. 2 Nebraska, RV Washington and RV UCLA.
- Nalani Iosia ranks second in the B1G in digs/set (4.26), while Zuzanna Kulig is third in blocks/set (1.45). Akasha Anderson leads the Spartans' offense with 3.26 kills/set, while Julia Bishop averages 6.09 assists/set.
- Ohio State leads 53-32 in the all-time series against Michigan State and has the 22-20 advantage vs. the Spartans when playing in East Lansing.
- Last season, the Buckeyes swept the Spartans (25-22, 26-24, 27-25) on Nov. 8 inside the Covelli Center. Londot led the match with 16 kills and five aces, also leading the team with 14 digs. Brandewie recorded 10 kills.
- The teams most recently playing in East Lansing on Nov. 5, 2022 with Ohio State claiming a three-set win (25-13, 25-18, 27-25). Londot also led that match in kills with 14 while the OSU defense didn't allow any player on Michigan State's roster to record 10 or more kills.
