No. 4 Ohio State Earns 2-0 Win Over Washington in First Big Ten Matchup

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- No. 4 Ohio State (9-0-2, 4-0-1) remained atop the Big Ten standings with a 2-0 win over Washington (4-3-5, 1-2-3) Monday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.

The win extended Ohio State's best start in program history with no losses over the first 11 matches.

How it Happened
Neither team was able to score in the opening 45 minutes.

David Wrona scored the first goal of the game in the 68' from a great lead pass from Michael Adedokun. Wrona has four goals this season and nine for his career. Adedokun leads the Buckeyes with six assists on the year and now has 16 career helpers.

Adedokun then added his sixth goal of the season in the 86' to secure the win. Ashton Bilow, who had three assists the last time out at Michigan, was credited with the assist.

Max Trejo got the call for the second-consecutive match. He and redshirt freshman Patrick McLaughlin had alternated prior to Trejo earning starts against Michigan and Washington.

Trejo earned his third shutout of the season and eighth of his career. He was credited with three saves vs. the Huskies.
