COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 4/5 Ohio State women's hockey team takes a trip out east this weekend for its first nonconference test of the season against No. 8 St. Lawrence Oct. 4-5 in Canton, N.Y. The top 10 matchup between the Buckeyes (2-2-0, 2-2-0 WCHA) and Saints (1-0-0, 0-0-0 ECAC) faces off at 6 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday from Appleton Arena.

Buckeyes in a Nutshell
- Ohio State enters the weekend 2-2-0 after sweeping Bemidji State with 8-2 and 3-0 wins last weekend in Bemidji.
- Junior defender Emma Peschel leads the Buckeyes with six points and five assists through the first four games of the season. Peschel recorded a career-high four assists in the team's game one win at Bemidji State. She is tied for fourth nationally in points.
- Rookie forward Jordyn Petrie has scored a team-high four goals on the year. She is tied for the most goals in the country. She tallied her first career multi-goal with two goals in the team's 8-2 win over the Beavers.
- Netminders Hailey MacLeod and Amanda Thiele are splitting time through the first two series of the year. Both are 1-1-0 on the season. MacLeod leads the goalie unit with a .911 save percentage.
- MacLeod and Petrie picked up WCHA player of the week honors for their play against Bemidji State. MacLeod was named Goaltender of the Week for the first time as a Buckeye while Petrie picked up the Rookie of the Week honor for the team's first weekly conference honors of the season.
- Peschel picked up the league's Defender of the Month award for her play in September. The award is her second of her career.
- Joy Dunne was named one of eight collegiate players to USA Hockey's November roster of the 2024-25 Rivalry Series. Dunne joins Buckeye alumnae Cayla Barnes and Hannah Bilka on the roster.
- Ohio State is fourth in this week's USCHO poll with 237 points and one first-place vote. The team is ranked fifth in the USA Hockey/The Rink Live poll with 221 points. WCHA teams - Wisconsin, Minnesota, Minnesota Duluth and Ohio State - make up four of the top five teams in each poll.
- Ohio State has allowed just one goal on the penalty kill entering the weekend, going 10-of-11 (.909) through four games.
- Fifteen of Ohio State's 18 skaters have recorded at least a point this season. Eight players - Petrie (4), Kiara Zanon (2), Jocelyn Amos (2), Makenna Webster (2), Josie St. Martin (2), Peschel (1), Jenna Buglioni (1) and Joy Dunne (1) - have tallied a goal.
- Ohio State head coach Nadine Muzerall, who is in her ninth season at the helm of the Buckeyes, is three wins short of 200 for her career with an all-time record of 197-75-10. Muzerall became the program's winningest coach last season.
- On the Buckeyes' 2024-25 roster, six student-athletes have played in more than 100 collegiate games – Riley Brengman (135), Buglioni (136), Webster (124), Maddi Wheeler (140), Zanon (135) and Emily Zumwinkle (118).
- Ohio State holds a one-game lead over St. Lawrence in the all-time series with an 8-7-0 record against the Saints.
- The Buckeyes have won the last six meetings dating back to a 6-1 win on Oct. 27, 2018.
- The teams met last season in Columbus, with Ohio State winning 11-0 and 5-1.
- Riley Brengman, Jenna Buglioni and Amanda Thiele were members of the 2021-22 team that faced the Saints in the D1 in DC Tournament helping Ohio State to a 5-2 win. The trio has played in the most games against St. Lawrence on the current roster with three games.
