- The Buckeyes are No. 1 for the second consecutive week and have opened the season at 6-0.
- Ohio State is coming off winning the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Columbus last weekend. The Buckeyes posted 4-0 sweeps of Vanderbilt and Boise State to secure their spot in the ITA Indoor Team National Championship.
- The Buckeyes have 54 consecutive home matches since last losing to Virginia on Jan. 21, 2021.
- Virginia and Ohio State have been two of the top programs over the last 15 seasons and the recent series has been befitting of two top teams. Virginia leads the all-time series 10-8 and the teams have split the last eight meetings since 2017.
- Last season, the Buckeyes won both regular season meetings, winning 4-1 at Virginia and 4-0 in the national indoor team championship. But Virginia got its revenge in May, winning 4-0 in the NCAA Championship match.
- This will be the 16th all-time meeting with Wake Forest. The Buckeyes lead the series 12-3 and have played close matches as of late. Wake Forest won 4-2 in the NCAA Championship match in Winston-Salem in 2018 but since then, the Buckeyes have won the last six meetings. That includes a 4-3 win in the semifinals of the national indoors in 2020 and a 4-3 win last year in Winston-Salem.
- The Buckeyes have been dominant to start the season, dropping just two total sets in their six victories.
- Justin Boulais is a combined 10-0 on the dual season. Cannon Kingsley is 7-0 while Jack Anthrop and JJ Tracy are both 6-0.
- Boulais was named the Big Ten Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week for his efforts in leading the Buckeyes to the ITA Kickoff Weekend title last week. That was the second Big Ten weekly honor of his career.
- Robert Cash has 13 doubles wins on the season and 125 for his career. He is just 14 doubles wins shy of Peter Kobelt's (2011-14) program record of 139 career doubles victories.
- The first singles and doubles rankings of 2024 are set to come out next Wednesday, Feb. 7.
