COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 12 Ohio State women's gymnastics team earned its first Big Ten Conference win of the season Monday night, defeating No. 24 Illinois, 197.100-196.175, at the Covelli Center. The Buckeyes (3-2, 1-1 B1G) earned their third consecutive score of 197.00 of the year and swept the individual event titles in the meet.

Vault
Tory Vetter led the way with a career high tying 9.900 to close the Buckeyes vault rotation and win the event title. Mallory Gregory, Payton Harris and Nicole Riccardi scored 9.875s and Kaitlyn Grimes and Sidney Washington added 9.775s. The Buckeyes led after the first rotation after scoring a 49.300 on vault.

Saturday marked Gregory's competitive debut after missing her freshman season due to injury.

Uneven Bars
Emma Pritchard led the Buckeyes off on uneven bars with a career high of 9.900. Harris also tied her career high with a 9.900 to tie Pritchard for first overall. Sidney Washington was third on the team with a 9.825 followed by Vetter (9.800), Riccardi (9.775) and Courtney McCann (9.750). The Buckeyes continued to lead halfway through the meet with an event score of 49.200.

Pritchard's score was also her first 9.900 of her collegiate career.

Beam
For the second straight week, Ella Hodges scored above a 9.900 on beam to lead the Buckeyes. She scored a 9.925 on Monday night. Harris was second on the team with a 9.875. Pritchard and Hankins tied with scores of 9.825. Vetter added a 9.775 and McCann scored a 9.100. Ohio State furthered its lead over the Illini with a 49.225 in the rotation to take the event title.

Floor
Hodges picked up her second event title of the meet with a 9.925 on floor to close the meet. Vetter added a 9.900 for the team to finish second overall. Harris (9.875) and Washington (9.850) took third and fourth overall, respectively. In her first competitive routine of the season, Savannah Gonzalez scored a 9.825. Kaylyn Mintz went 9.800 on the day.

The team earned its best event score of the day with a 49.375 to win the event title.

Harris earned her third all-around title of the season with a 39.525. Tory Vetter scored a 39.375 to finish second.
