COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 12 Ohio State women's gymnastics team picked up its first road win of the season with a 196.625-195.800 victory over No. 25 Maryland Sunday afternoon at the XFINITY Center in College Park, Md. The Buckeyes improve to 4-2 on the year and 2-1 in the Big Ten with the win over the Terrapins.

Uneven Bars
Ohio State started the meet with a 49.250 on uneven bars to tie its season high. Sidney Washington tied her career high and won the event title with a 9.900 on the apparatus. In her first competitive bars routine of the season, Alexis Hankins scored a 9.850. Tory Vetter and Nicole Riccardi also added 9.850s to tie for second overall. Payton Harris scored a 9.800 and Emma Pritchard scored a 9.775.

Junior Kaitlyn Grimes won the vault title with a career high tying 9.900. Vetter finished third overall with a 9.850, followed by Harris and Riccardi with 9.825s. Washington's 9.800 was the Buckeyes' fifth counted score of the day after dropping Mallory Gregory's 9.175.

The team finished the rotation with a 49.200 overall score to take a 98.450-98.000 lead halfway through the meet.

Ohio State had its best showing on floor, with four scores of 9.900 or higher in the third rotation to finish with a 49.550. Ella Hodges continued her success in the event with her third career best score of 9.950 of the season to finish first overall. Vetter tied her career high 9.925 to tie for second. Washington and Harris tied their season best mark of 9.900. Ohio State also counted a 9.875 from Kaylyn Mintz. Savannah Gonzalez scored a 9.825 in her second straight week in the lineup. Â

Harris won the beam title with her second 9.900 of the day. Hodges tied for second with a 9.875. In the lead off, Pritchard scored a 9.725. Vetter was fourth on the team with a 9.650. The Buckeyes had two falls on beam, forcing them to count one towards the final score. The team counted Hankins' 9.475, and Courtney McCann scored a 9.050.

Harris earned her fourth all-around title with a score of 39.425. Vetter was second with a 39.275.
