COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 11 Ohio State women's gymnastics team closes its three-meet homestand Monday against No. 25 Illinois. The Buckeyes (2-2, 0-1 B1G) and Illini (5-2, 0-1 B1G) meet at 7 p.m. from the Covelli Center. Â

Buckeyes in a Nutshell
- Ohio State opened the 2024 conference season against Michigan last weekend in Columbus. Despite losing the dual, the Buckeyes won event titles on uneven bars and vault and scored their second consecutive score over 197.000.
- Payton Harris picked up her second Co-Big Ten Gymnast of the Week award of the season after scoring a 39.600 in the all-around in the meet against the Wolverines. The score won her the event title and is a season best for the sophomore.
- The Big Ten Specialist of the Week award went to Ella Hodges for the first time this season. Hodges scored a career high 9.950 on beam to lead the Buckeyes on the apparatus and also earned a 9.925 on floor.
- Harris leads the team on uneven bars with a career high 9.900. She and Nicole Riccardi are tied for the team lead on vault with a 9.900. Courtney McCann holds the team lead on beam with her program record tying 9.975 and Ella Hodges' two 9.950s are a team best this year.
- The Buckeyes are 11th in this week's Road to Nationals with an average score of 196.983. Ohio State ranks top-10 nationally on floor (seventh), vault (eighth) and beam (ninth).
- Ohio State paces the Big Ten with a 49.425 average on floor and a 49.258 on vault.
- Hodges is tied for third in the country on floor with an average score of 9.942. Harris and Nicole Riccardi are tied for 15th nationally on vault.
- The Buckeyes have won 12 of their last 3 regular season meets in Covelli.
- Ohio State has won the last three meets against Illinois and is 4-4 against the Illini in the regular season since head coach Meredith Paulicivic took over the program.
- The last time the teams met at the Covelli Center, the Buckeyes earned a 197.600 for what was then the second-best score in program history.
- Ohio State and Illinois will meet in Columbus twice this year, with the Illini making their second trip March 1 to join the Buckeyes, Bowling Green and Kent State in a quad meet.
