COLUMBUS, Ohio – Top-ranked Ohio State is set to host the ITA Kickoff Weekend this weekend inside the Ty Tucker Tennis Center. The Buckeyes will take on Vanderbilt at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning while Oregon and Boise State will play at 1 p.m.
The winners will play in the championship at noon on Sunday with the consolation match set for 9 a.m. The winner of the weekend will earn a spot in next month's ITA Team Indoor National Championship at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York.
Admission and parking are free for all men's tennis matches.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Top-ranked Ohio State is set to host the ITA Kickoff Weekend this weekend inside the Ty Tucker Tennis Center. The Buckeyes will take on Vanderbilt at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning while Oregon and Boise State will play at 1 p.m.

- The Buckeyes are hosting the ITA Kickoff Weekend for the 15th time and this is the 16th time in which they will be competing in the event.
- Ohio State is 29-1 in the ITA Kickoff Weekend. The lone loss came to Virginia in the second round in 2021.
- Last year, the Buckeyes swept both UCF and Oregon 4-0 to earn a spot in the indoor national championship. The Buckeyes have advanced to the final site every year except for 2021.
- This will be the 14th all-time meeting between Ohio State and Vanderbilt. The Commodores lead the series 7-6 but the Buckeyes have won each of the last four meetings dating back to 2004. The two most recent meetings, in 2015 and 2019, were both during the NCAA Tournament in Columbus and the Buckeyes won both matches 4-0.
- Against Oregon, the Buckeyes are 1-1, dropping a neutral site match in 1998 and then sweeping the Ducks 4-0 in last year's Kickoff Weekend. Ohio State and Boise State have squared-off four times previously and the Buckeyes have won all four meetings.
- Ohio State rose to No. 1 in the country this week's ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings. This is the seventh different season since 2009 in which the Buckeyes have earned the top spot in the rankings. Overall, they have been ranked No. 1 for 34 weeks.
- The Buckeyes opened the year with four sweeps to stand a perfect 4-0.
- Jack Anthrop, Cannon Kingsley and Justin Boulais are all a combined 6-0 on the dual season. Anthrop and Kingsley have three wins in both singles and doubles while Boulais leads the team with four doubles wins and has a pair of singles victories.
- The Buckeyes have dropped just one set in singles and doubles through the first four matches. Â
- Three Buckeyes finished the fall ranked in the singles rankings. JJ Tracy is No. 4, Jack Anthrop is No. 11 and Alexander Bernard is No. 103.
- In doubles, Tracy and Robert Cash finished the fall as the top-ranked doubles pair while each are also ranked with different partners. Tracy and Bernard are ranked 10th and Cash and freshman Bryce Nakashima are ranked No. 27. Anthrop and Preston Stearns, who have a 6-1 record together, are ranked No. 53.
