COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 9 Ohio State women's gymnastics team fell to No. 14 Michigan, 197.400-197.025, Saturday at the Covelli Center. Despite the loss, the Buckeyes (2-2, 0-1 B1G) won event titles on vault and uneven bars and scored above a 197.000 for the second consecutive meet.  Â
Payton Harris picked up an individual event title as well, winning the all-around title with a 39.600.Â

Vault
The Buckeyes started the day with a season best score of 49.325. Payton Harris led the team, and finished third overall, with her first 9.900 on the apparatus this year. Sidney Washington and Nicole Riccardi tied with scores of 9.875 and Tory Vetter followed with a 9.850. Kaitlyn Grimes scored a season-high 9.825 to round out the Buckeyes scoring routines. Kaylyn Mintz was the sixth member of the lineup and scored a 9.800.

Uneven Bars
Five of six Buckeyes earned season-best marks on uneven bars as the team scored a season high 49.250. Harris' season-high 9.900 was her second of the day to lead the Buckeyes on the apparatus and take second overall. Riccardi followed in third overall with her season-best 9.875. Vetter, Washington and Courtney McCann tied with 9.825s to tie for fourth overall. McCann made her competitive bars debut in the meet and Washington tied her season best. Emma Pritchard also tied her season best with a 9.775.

Beam
Ohio State scored two 9.900s on beam with Ella Hodges leading the way with a career-high tying 9.950 and Payton Harris scoring a career-best 9.925. Alexis Hankins tied her season high with a 9.850. Also competing on the apparatus were Pritchard (9.700), Vetter (9.625) and McCann (8.975).

Floor
In the final rotation of the day, the Buckeyes earned three scores of 9.900 or higher. Hodges finished tied for second overall with a 9.925. Vetter and Washington tied for fourth with 9.900s. Harris added a 9.875 and Grimes and Mintz scored 9.800s.

The Buckeyes finish their three-meet home slate against No. 22 Illinois next week. The Buckeyes and Illini meet Monday, Jan. 29 at 7 p.m. from the Covelli Center. The meet will be televised on Big Ten Network.
