COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 1 Ohio State women's ice hockey team is back home at the OSU Ice Rink this weekend, taking on No. 7 Minnesota Duluth in a two-game series set for Jan. 19-20. The Buckeyes (18-2-0, 15-1-0 WCHA) and Bulldogs (13-7-2, 10-6-0 WCHA) play at 6 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday.

After playing Duluth, the Buckeyes head back to Minnesota to face St. Cloud State, Jan. 26-27. The Buckeyes and Huskies' two-game series is set for a 4 p.m. ET Friday and 2 p.m. ET Saturday puck drop. Games will be streamed on B1G+ (subscription required).

Buckeyes in a Nutshell
- This weekend is the first time in 40 days that the Buckeyes will play a game at home. Ohio State is 9-1-1 at the OSU Ice Rink this season, including a sweep of Minnesota State in the team's last series in Columbus before break.Â
- Ohio State started 2024 off with two statement wins, defeating then-ranked No. 2 Minnesota 7-0 and 6-1 on the road.
- Freshman Joy Dunne was named WCHA Rookie of the Week after recording a career high-tying four points in the team's game one win against the Gophers. In the game, she scored three goals for her second hat trick of the year. Dunne is one of two players to record multiple hat tricks this season.
- Buckeye netminder Raygan Kirk picked up the conference Goaltender of the Week award after allowing just one goal against the Gophers. She earned a 20-save shut out in game one to make the Buckeyes the first team in three years to hold Minnesota without a goal. She made another 17 saves in game two to pick up two wins on the weekend and improve to 9-1-0 on the year.
- Ohio State head coach Nadine Muzerall is tied for the most wins by a Buckeye women's hockey head coach headed into this weekend. She has earned a 178-71-19 record in eight seasons at Ohio State.
- Kirk and Amanda Thiele were both named to the HCA Goaltender of the Year watchlist. The duo has split time for most of the season and are among 10 WCHA goalies on the list. Kirk (.909) and Thiele (.898) are first and second in the conference, respectively, in win percentage.
- Graduate forwards Hannah Bilka and Jenn Gardiner lead the team with 26 points each. Gardiner has scored a team-high 12 goals this season and Bilka leads the Buckeyes with 17 assists.
- Ohio State ranks third in assists and fourth in goals this season nationally. Fourteen players have recorded at least 10 points on the year.
- Graduate forward Kenzie Hauswirth has been named one of 18 nominees for the 2024 Hockey Humanitarian Award. Hauswirth, who is pursuing a master's degree in bioethics, volunteers with a number of youth organizations, both in Columbus and in her hometown of Farmington, Minn. She coaches youth hockey and spends time in classrooms teaching and mentoring students.
- Ohio State has a 2-0-0 lead in the season series between the two teams headed into the matchup in Columbus.
- The Buckeyes played their second series of the season at Minnesota Duluth, winning 5-2 and 2-0.
- Ohio State is 29-73-8 in the all-time series against the Bulldogs. The Buckeyes have won eight of the last nine matchups.Â
- Olivia Mobley is two points shy of 100 for her career. She has tallied 13 points this season for the Buckeyes.
- Bilka needs just five more assists to earn 100 career helpers. She is one of six active NCAA players with 90+ assists. The Coppell, Texas native is fifth among active players with 153 career points.
