COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 18/16 Ohio State women's basketball team (13-3, 4-1 B1G) travels to Maryland (11-5, 3-2 B1G) on Wednesday night for a 7 p.m. tip. The game will be broadcast on Peacock and 1460AM.
- Ohio State holds a 13-3 record this season and is 4-1 in conference play after a 70-65 win against RV/RV Michigan State on Sunday.
- OSU held off a late push from MSU to win 70-65 on Sunday on the back of five double-figure scorers and the 41-36 rebounding advantage.
- Jacy Sheldon led all players with 18 points, while Taylor Thierry (13), Cotie McMahon (11), Rikki Harris (11) and Rebeka Mikulasikova (10) also scored in double figures. Thierry added a team-high 11 rebounds for her second double-double of the season.
- Maryland is 11-5 overall and 3-2 in conference play this season. The Terrapins are 8-0 at home this season after beating Purdue 88-66 on Sunday in the XFINITY Center.
- The Terrapins have also beaten Northwestern and Minnesota in Big Ten play and fallen to Nebraska and Michigan State. Their only non-conference losses were to ranked teams - then No. 6 South Carolina, No. 8 UConn and No. 23 Washington State.
- Shyanne Sellers leads Maryland in scoring (16.7 ppg) and rebounding (5.9 rpg). Bri McDaniel (12.4 ppg) and Jakia Brown-Turner (10.2 ppg) are also averaging double figures.
- Maryland leads 14-6 in the all-time series, which includes a pair of vacated Ohio State wins. When playing in College Park, the Terrapins have the 8-2 advantage.
- Last season, Maryland won both matchups - a 90-54 decision in College Park on Feb. 5, 2023 and a close 76-74 win in Columbus on Feb. 24, 2023 in the Buckeyes' regular season finale.
