COLUMBUS, Ohio – James Manning will serve as the director of operations for the Ohio State women's lacrosse program, new Buckeye head coach Amanda Moore announced.
Manning held the same position with Moore at East Carolina and also spent a season at Rutgers as a student manager while in graduate school. He was a student manager for the Pirates throughout his undergraduate career.
"James' passion for the teams he supports is unmatched," Moore said. "He has been in and around the game of lacrosse the last five years and is an all-in team player. It's huge to have James join us in Columbus as our director of operations."
Manning started his career in lacrosse as a student manager for Moore and the Pirates in August 2018. While a student at ECU he also worked as a game operations intern and a marketing intern and he has been a gameday operations intern for the New Jersey Jackals baseball team.
In 2021-22 Moore worked with the Rutgers women's lacrosse program and was a marketing and fan experience intern while earning his master's degree in global sports business. The Scarlet Knights reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season. He returned to ECU as its director of operations in July 2022.
A native of Cranford, N.J., Manning received his bachelor's degree in sports studies, while a minor in business administration, from East Carolina in 2021.
