COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 25 Buckeyes host the 41st Lady Buckeye Invitational at the OSU Scarlet Course this Saturday and Sunday to wrap up the regular season.
- The Buckeyes are the defending Lady Buckeye champions, having won the most recent tournament in 2022.
- This will be the 41st year of the Lady Buckeye; 1975 was the first time Ohio State hosted the tournament.
- Overall, Ohio State has won the Lady Buckeye 16 times.
- There have been 12 individual Buckeye medalists; the most recent winner was Rachel Rohanna in 2012.
- The lineup for the Buckeyes this weekend is Caley McGinty, Jillian Bourdage, Lauren Peter, Kary Hollenbaugh, Aneka Seumanutafa and Kailie Vongsaga. Faith Choi and Emily Hummer will compete as individuals.
- The Buckeyes most recently competed at the Silverado Showdown at Silverado Country Club in Napa, Calif.
- Ohio State finished ninth overall with a team score of 903 (+39).
- Bourdage led the Buckeyes, finishing tied for 11th She carded a 54-hole score of 221 (+5).
- Prior to the Silverado Showdown, the Buckeyes turned in a record-breaking performance at the Mountain View Collegiate in Arizona. They placed second with a program-record 54-hole score of 837 (-27).
- Caley McGinty placed second overall at the tournament. She shot a 63 (-9) in the third round, which is an Ohio State women’s golf single-round record. McGinty shot under par in all three rounds to finish with a total score of 198 (-18).
- Ohio State is participating in the Folds of Honor Military Tribute Program for the second season. Folds of Honor honors military heroes lost or wounded in action. This season, the Buckeyes will honor Army Maj. Michael J. Donahue. Each week, a member of the OSU team will carry a bag bearing his name that will be auctioned off at the end of the spring season to benefit the Folds of Honor program.
