COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's golf team is set to compete in the Jim West Challenge in San Marcos, Texas. The tournament will take place on Sunday, October 19th, and Monday, October 20th, featuring a highly competitive field of collegiate programs. The format will include 36 continuous holes of stroke play on Sunday, followed by a final 18 holes on Monday. Play will begin at 9:30 AM EST on both days with shotgun starts. Â
- Ohio State's lineup this week includes Kary Hollenbaugh, Nellie Ong, Marina Joyce Moreno, Matilde Santilli, Sophie EppelstunÂ
- The Buckeyes enter the tournament with strong momentum after capturing a first-place finish at the Inverness Intercollegiate in Toledo, Ohio. The team fired a 3-under 281 to claim the title. Â
- In addition to the team's success, several Buckeyes have continued to impress individually:Â
- At the Dayton Invitational, Mandy Song finished runner-up at +6, while Chloe Lam secured third place at +8.Â
- Nellie Ong recently represented Team England at the World Amateur Team Championship, tying for fifth overall with rounds of 69-69-74-69. Her efforts were instrumental in helping Team England tie for fourth place among 36 nations.Â
