Maltais Garners WCHA Forward of the Week Award

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State graduate forward Emma Maltais earned the WCHA’s Forward of the Week award, the conference announced Monday, after posting five points against St. Thomas last weekend at the OSU Ice Rink.
Maltais, who was recognized prior to Saturday’s game with the 2023 seniors, recorded four assists and one goal in the Buckeyes’ final regular season home series. She recorded two multipoint games on the weekend as she helped Ohio State to its program-record 22nd WCHA win this season.
The Burlington, Ont. native tallied Ohio State’s second power play goal of the year in Friday’s 6-1 win over the Tommies. She added two assists in each game for the team. Maltais is now four points away from 200 for her career.
