- Head Coach Kevin McGuff:
- "Jacy Sheldon and Taylor Thierry played aggressively and played really well. I thought the problem tonight was we had too many possessions where the ball just kind of stuck and quit moving. For us to be at our best on offense is when we get into what I like to call the 'next level of the offense' and we just didn't get there enough tonight."
- Graduate guard Jacy Sheldon:
- "[Being down] is a position we've been in many times so we never stopped believing and we always fight until the end. Unfortunately we put ourselves in that position, but we never feel like we're out of a game. We just have to make sure to compete until the end."
- Junior guard/forward Taylor Thierry:
- "It's an issue when we wait for something to happen and build off of that. We don't ever want to be in that big of a hole but it helps when we get a steal or a block or a big play and can build off of that. I think that helped."
